Soul of the Cave

J'ai mis un temps fou pour recueillir quelques infos sur ce groupe que j'ai découvert grâce à ma téloche (eh ouais, parfois je trouve des trucs sympas).

Pour le peu que j'en sais, SOTC est un groupe italien qui se défini lui-même dans une mouvance "alternative psychedelic super rock", enlevez le mot super, et on s'approche un peu du genre que je définirais plutôt par le simple mot "rock", c'est suffisant.
Pour ce que j'en ai entendu, ils oscillent entre un rock tout à fait acceptable et un rock californien pour ados et passionnés de sports de glisse, en passant par un petit revival punk qui s'ajoute par touches.

Je ne sais pas quand exactement ils se sont formés, mais leur premier EP remonte à 2006.

OTC have in their minds the great sound of the ‘70s and all that's post and exciting. They signed with the English label Ukdivision Records at the beginning of 2007. SOTC's first full-length album is called "ASPHALT"; recording sessions and mixing were at Subsound Studio in August 2007, mastering job at Studio73 (Ephel Duath - Earache Records). Asphalt was released in Winter 2008, then re-released in October. LUNATIK (official management of Verdena, one of the best Italian alt-rock bands) managed the album promotion. Plastic Head (UK) works on a worldwide distro in 26 countries and the album is available in the biggest digital stores (iTunes-Amazon-fnac etc.). Asphalt was positively welcomed by the most important magazines (Italy) and webzines (worldwide); it was also on rotation in the most important indipendent radios in Rome, Milan and in the rest of Italy. [JAN. 2009] The band recorded the promo/ep "Hand Made Evil" at the Snakes Studio (Rome), which is composed by four exploding, direct but also refined tracks. [OCT. 2009] SOTC went to the RED HOUSE RECORDINGS (Steve Albini, Rob Ellis, Charlotte Hatherley, One Dimensional Man, Uzeda, Linea 77) where they recorded 3 brand new songs, mixed and produced by DAVID LENCI. A new video clip will be released soon.

Bon, peu d'informations, on ne peut pas dire que ça entache la qualité au final. On sera d'accord, il y a mieux (n'y a t-il pas toujours mieux en fin de compte?), mais voilà, ça s'écoute quand même bien, ça ne mange pas de pain, bref bref, j'aime assez sans que ce soit l'amour fou (à la base c'est pas vraiment ma came on va dire).

J'ai juste pas aimé la dernière où j'ai l'impression qu'il y a deux chansons à la fois par moment :S

Nan il a toujours été là mais il me semble que j'avais posté deux groupes différents dont le nom étaient proches. ^^
